Let’s talk about baggy sweatpants

Confession: I love baggy sweatpants.
Like, really love them.

Not the cute cropped ones that cling in all the right places. I’m talking big, cozy, oversized sweatpants that make you feel like you’re wrapped in a cloud. The kind that says, “I take my comfort and my workouts seriously.”

And latelty I’ve been wearing them more often to workout.

So today, I’m making the case for working out in baggy sweatpants and sharing a few brands I’ve been eyeing (or already living in).

Why baggy sweatpants just hit different

Let’s be honest some days, your body just doesn’t want to be squeezed into leggings. You don’t want anything clinging to you while trying to move. This is where baggy sweatpants come in and save the day.

Baggy sweats give you:

  • More room to move (or to do absolutely nothing, equally important)

  • Zero waistband drama

  • Effortless cool-girl energy, especially with a crop top or hood

And if you’re juggling work, workouts, and family life? These pants are forgiving. In every sense of the word.

Where to find the good ones

If you’re on the hunt, here are a few solid options worth checking out:

AUTOMET Fleece-Lined wide leg sweatpants
🛒 Available on Amazon

Nike Phoenix fleece joggers
🛒 Shop Nike Women’s Loose Fit Sweatpants

H&M oversized sweatpants

Gap baggy classic sweats

How I wear them

To work out – especially strength or recovery days
For walking
When I need a break from “real pants”
On Zoom calls — business on top, nap mode on the bottom 😄

One more thing…

Comfort is wellness.
And when you’re already carrying the mental weight of client deadlines, business decisions, and family life wearing something that feels easy can make a big difference.

So this week, if you need a little permission to skip the leggings and pull on those roomy sweats? Consider it granted.

What’s your go-to comfort uniform lately? Any baggy sweatpants brands you love? Let me know! I’m always looking for my next favorite pair.
